From Virtual Classrooms to Center Stage: iQLA Celebrates the Class of 2025
On June 10, 2025, iQ Academy of California–Los Angeles (iQLA) gathered students, families, and faculty at the Robert B. Moore Auditorium at Orange Coast College for a graduation ceremony that was more than a milestone; it was a long-awaited moment of connection. For many of the 90 graduates, this was their first opportunity to meet classmates and teachers in person after years of learning together online.
The event showcased the power of online education to not only academically prepare students but also to give them the freedom and tools to thrive in their unique circumstances. Whether managing health challenges, pursuing college credit early, or seeking a safer, more personalized learning environment, each student found a path that worked for them.
The ceremony featured a keynote address by former California State Superintendent Jack O’Connell, who shared words of encouragement and pride for the graduates’ accomplishments. Student speakers Kaitlyn and Diego, this year’s co-valedictorians, offered reflections on their time at iQLA and the challenges and triumphs that shaped their high school experience.
Among this year’s graduates are students preparing to enter the military, those heading to college with credits already earned through iQLA’s dual enrollment program, and others stepping directly into careers they’ve already secured. Their stories are a testament to the diverse pathways iQLA supports and a reminder that education doesn’t have to follow a single script to lead to success.
The Class of 2025 is a shining example of how online learning can open doors, build confidence, and lead to future possibilities that reach far beyond the screen.
Congratulations to all of iQLA’s graduates. Your future is bright, and you’re just getting started.
